Our near-term targets have been validated by the SBTI Services

Recognizing the need for climate action and curbing GHG emissions, StellaGroup has set science-based targets against the SBTi Corporate Near-Term Criteria.

“We are proud to announce that our near-term targets have been validated by the SBTi Services” explains Frank Schädlich, StellaGroup’s CEO. “For the past three years, we have worked hard at better understanding our carbon footprint as well as identifying all the decarbonization levers with the operational teams. Setting science-based targets across all our Scopes shows our willingness to pursue the decarbonisation efforts and engage our stakeholders, in particular our suppliers and customers, along this way”.

StellaGroup commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by -52.55% by 2033 from a 2023 base year. StellaGroup also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel, employee commuting, use of sold products, and end-of-life treatment of sold products by -61.07% per EUR value added within the same timeframe.
